That quote from Mollie was in reference to the steroids. She has handled them great this week. There have a been a few tearful and indecisive moments, and she's somewhat tired and subdued, but overall, I'm very impressed.
In this picture, she's working on a craft project and you can see the flower "tattoo" that one of the Child Life volunteers drew on her arm in the clinic waiting room.
We will be offline for a week or so for some much needed time off!
mollie, your hair is just beautiful! darker and wavier and so thick looking!
ReplyDeletehave fun in tahoe. you all deserve the break. it is really gorgeous up there right now.
looking forward to seeing you!
I ditto Nicola both about your hair, Mollie and the beauty of Tahoe. We were there a couple of weeks ago and the wildflowers were absolutely spectacular. I suspect they peaked then, but if you want to go for a lovely wal and possibly see some, drive the highway to Mt Rose (drops over into the Reno basin), When you get almost to the top there is a good sized parking lot (one of the starting point for the Tahoe Rim Trail) and a huge beautiful meadow, perfect for 'hiking' with young ones. A creek runs thru the meadow, The trail does go up the mountainside and soon comes to beautiful views of the lake. Know that bikes are permitted on the trail on even days, so choose an odd day for your adventure. Bring a picnic.
ReplyDeleteHave a great time!
Look at that beautiful thick hair! I'm jealous. And I love the flower!
