School's Out

Waiting for the bus on the last day of school

It is so hard for me to believe this school year over! I can remember how nervous I felt in the weeks leading up to Mollie's first day of kindergarten. There are so many people who have made this year special- Mr. B the bus driver, Mrs. Swenson and Mrs. Partridge, Mollie's teachers, Michelle for running Girl Scouts, plus the school nurse, secretary, and the parents in Mollie's class.

My sweet little pre-schooler has turned into a toothless, shoe-tying, adding and subtracting reader who is ready for first grade! Watch out world!

We are really going to miss Stevens Creek; it will be hard for any other school to measure up.

  1. I can't believe how early school lets out for you! Is that just where you live or typical for your state, all the states? When does Mollie go back to school?

Heather and Addie will not be done school until the last week of June but then they don't go back until the 2nd week of September.

Is Mollie glad to be finished for awhile?

    Enjoy your weekend,

  2. Tricia, schools let out pretty early here and go back in early August. It is pretty typical for the Southern states. On the west coast, schools typically start late august/sept and get out in early June. I prefer that schedule, but c'est la vie!

  5. Tears are in my eyes and my heart aches. But, I'm so very proud of what Mollie and you accomplished this year against huge challenges.
